World Cup 2010: I Do Not Fear Spain, But I Have Complete Respect For Them - Brazil's Kaka

Brazil's midfield maestro, Kaka, spoke of some of the challenges that await in this summer's World Cup...

Kaka does not fear a tie with Spain in this summer's World Cup in South Africa although he declared that La Roja merited his "complete respect". "It is difficult to know who is stronger right now. We will have to see there [South Africa]!" exclaimed the Brazilian wizard in an interview with France Football.

The Real Madrid player hopes that the 'canarinha' finish atop their group and the same for Spain, so to avoid a hypothetical meeting in the early stages of the knockout round, although he was quick to point out that "in every stage of the competition, we will confront very good teams".

"Spain play really well and they are a very complete team in all parts of the pitch, but Brazil have dominated their adversaries, showing some very good qualities", explained the 27-year-old, who believes that the Selecao has "progressed a lot in the last two seasons".

Finally, Kaka gave his list of favourites for next summer's competition in South Africa and his shortlist was not just limited to Brazil and Spain, citing Portugal, England, France, Italy, and Argentina as other strong teams that will be difficult to beat next summer.
